Electical Engineer - Mildenhall, Suffolk.

We currently recruiting to join our team of engineering and construction management specialists at RAF Mildenhall, to work on this exciting contract supporting the 100th Civil Engineer Squadron/Engineering Flight!

The contractor will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and shall provide a full range of Design and Construction Support Services and deliverables in support of the 100th Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) at RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom.

Job Description:

  1. The candidate should show technical skills and experience to define requirements, produce specifications, method statements, designs and cost estimates.
  2. Deliver quality assurance for both materials and workmanship in accordance with design information.
  3. Management of professional services (studies, analyses, evaluations and engineering and technical expertise.)
  4. Develop, deliver, and implement solutions from process improvement events
  5. Manage all documents required right from project inception to delivery, adhering to stake holder requirements.
  6. Provide technical expertise to the 100 CES, deliver technical presentations, provide agendas and meeting minutes, facilitate meetings, etc.
  7. Pre-award support – In assisting 100 CES management and oversite of contracts,
  8. Project Management Support
  9. Asset Management
  10. Assist in documenting project files, organizing files and providing administrative support, such as filing minutes of regulatory and partnering sessions at RAF Mildenhall.

Qualification:

 Minimum:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a curriculum accredited by the Engineering Council (UK) or Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (US)

Experience:

Minimum:

- Five (5) years in developing solutions and designs to complex electrical systems related to facilities, infrastructure, and utility systems within the UK. (i.e., facility electrical systems and high voltage distribution systems).

Experience with UK facility and electrical utility design and construction standards.

Desired:

- Demonstrable experience with UK design and construction standards.

- Demonstrable understanding applicable UK health and safety standards

OTHER:

This is a self-employed position.
