Train to be a First Call Operative Engineer
Are you a Gas Engineer with CCN1 & MET1, looking for a rewarding contract, with a great work life balance and a new training opportunity?
Ganymede have partnered with Cadent to provide Emergency Response Gas Escape Engineers working only Monday to Friday days.
You will be provided with full training including putting you through your CODNESP1 qualification, Cadent training and mentoring before going out live to manage gas escape work across the Herts, Beds and Essex area.
We’re looking for excellent communication skills and the ability to keep calm under pressure. You’ll also need CCN1 & MET1 certification and a full UK driving licence for this role, as well as experience working within a gas environment, including good knowledge of gas appliances; testing, purging and the commissioning of pipework.
- Basic salary: £40,000
- No call out or standby!
- Work until the end of February
- Monday to Friday, 8 Hour shifts between 8am & 8pm – all in day work
- 1 ½ day course sitting CODNESP1.
- 2 weeks FCO training with Cadent, followed by 2 weeks mentoring in your region.
- £2,000 bonus paid at end of contract.
- 23 days holiday + bank holidays (pro rata)
- Everything provided Van, tools, uniform, training…
About you:
You must have experience working within the gas industry, including good knowledge of gas appliances, testing, purging and the commissioning of pipework, Installation, replacement, and maintenance of gas meters and an understanding of Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice and Health and Safety.
We’re looking for excellent communication skills, the ability to keep calm under pressure, a full UK driving licence and excellent pipework skills.
