Section Engineer
Darlington
12-month contract
£350 - £400 per day (PAYE or Umbrella)
THE COMPANY
This multimillion-pound company that specialises in Energy, Highways, Nuclear and Rail works across the UK are now looking to recruit a Section Engineer for a large civil engineering project.
THE ROLE
Produce works risk assessments/method statements
Approve subcontractors’/suppliers' risk assessments/method statements
Produce of short term/weekly programmes to deliver the contract programme
Explanation of works preparations to the project management/supervision team
Raise requests for further information from the client / designer
Deal with requests for further information from suppliers/ sub-contractors
Define areas of responsibility for engineers
Ensure flow of information to construction teams
Explanation of production targets to construction teams
Coordinate subcontractors’ programmes and organisation of attendances
Monitor progress against short term/weekly programmes
Produce ITPs
Ensure high standards of work production/instigate robust checking procedures
Deliver own works and subcontractors’ works in compliance with contract requirements
Initiate and close out corrective actions and preventative actions for any NCRs raised
Deliver records and documents required by the contract
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
To be selected for this exciting position you will ideally have an HNC, HND or a Degree in Civil Engineering and a proven background as a Section Engineer on civil engineering projects in the UK.
