Our Client
Our client is a large tier 1 contractor who specialise in the Rail sector, delivering projects across several disciplines including Track installation and renewals, Electrification works such as High Voltage Power Supply, Traction Power and Signalling.

They are a multi-disciplinary contractor that has built an extensive amount of the UK’s Rail Infrastructure and have divisions covering everything from the track to the overhead line and freight.

The Role
As part of a close team of eight and reporting into the Head of Procurementr, as a Strategic Buyer your role will be to manage supply chain across the business for parts, materials, labour and plant; negotiating on cost, presenting data and reports to key stakeholders as well as managing supplier performance levels.

Working on a large 5-year framework, it’s fair to say there is ample work for you to get stuck into in the future – especially when you consider you’ll be able to work on future tenders to win even more work!

Not only are there exciting projects to work on, you’ll also be offered career progression through professional training. Should you require it, our client is willing to put you through your CIPS certification!

The Successful Applicant

The successful Strategic Buyer will have a career in a similar purchasing role with experience tendering, negotiating and managing suppliers within any industry!
