This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK’s largest train franchise as a night train cleaner at the Cambridge Depot.This is an initial 6-month contract with a great opportunity to be taken on permanently which presents a great career platform in the railway sector.
The shift run on a 7-day roster of:
2200-0500
The Role
We are currently looking for individuals with a keen eye for detail who take great pride in ensuring their environment meets a high level of cleanliness for customers who use the railway service on a regular basis. The role will be predominantly cleaning the interiors of the train once at the depot.
You will be joining the night train cleaning team who cover a roster of 2200pm-0500am over the course of the week, with the option of overtime available at the discretion of the management.
This is a busy depot therefore a good level of communication is required as you work to ensure a high standard of work is met. Ideally, you will hold a sentinel card with PTS competencies of AC/DC, although this is not essential as training will be provided by Ganymede Solutions.

About You

Ideally, you will be experienced within a vehicle / industrial or commercial cleaning environment.
You will have a keen eye for detail and take pride in delivering a clean and safe environment for customers.
The night shift is on a 7-day roster so you must be comfortable working night shifts, overtime is often available at management discretion.
Training is provided covering depot protection, site safety and cleaning solutions. There will also be PTS training which will be provided for successful candidates.
Work is undertaken in a safety critical environment so you will be required to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screening.
Pay Rate & Benefits
Standard Hours (35 hours p/w) - £12.19p/h
Overtime (+36 hours) and Rest Days - £18.15p/h
Sunday Shift - £21.18p/h
You become eligible for a pay increase after 12 weeks due to AWR. This is a fantastic opportunity as candidates who excel during the 6-month contract period will be considered for subsequent permanent positions.
