The Role
As the Electrical Systems Engineer, you’ll be providing support with planning and procurement for this 5-year project. Carrying out on site assembly, commissioning, operation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment to ensure the prestigious work are safe and fit for purpose.
You will also evaluate the electrical service provider’s safety, reliability and operational performance and preform calculations to validate the electrical system suitability for the requirements. Working closely with electricians and engineers to solve emerging issues, while also performing quality and performance analysis. You will ensure installations are in line with company needs and safety standards by preparing electrical systems specifications and technical drawings
About You
You’ll be an experienced Electrical Engineer, with a background in sectors such as Utilities, Power, Construction or Tunnelling. Be proficient in design and calculation software, with excellent technical ability and know how. You’ll be able to develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with colleagues, clients and sub-contractors, whilst drive efficiency on the project and always work towards ensuring KPIs are delivered as per expectations
The Requirements
- Relevant Degree Qualification in Electrical Engineering
- Experience construction of underground utilities, supervision of electrical networks including electrical substations
- Experience in the engineering and tunnelling field
- Proficiency in design and calculation software
- Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability
- Data acquisition and interrogation skills
- Knowledge of PLC systems
